Whats up gang! Â Here are some pics from the from the Annual Gotham Awards Red Carpet. Â Last minute suit that was delivered to where I was staying. Â It came out pretty well. My mom is like “Boy you should get some rest, You look tired.” Â I tell her I was rested. Â This is how I look now. GREAT NEWS!! We are bringing the Byron Bowers Experience to @drafthousedc November 29th and 30th. Im happy to be going back to Washington DC because of its historical moments. Jake Gyllenhaal, I call him “BIG JAKE” took some time to host a screening for Honey Boy. Â As you can tell Im wearing honey boy gear right now so Ive turned into a cheerleader for the film. Also Big Jake is cool as shit. Â He knows the camera well, look how straight his head is. Â Me and Alma is new at this. haha
If you been following this journey, then you know that Im new at doing photos and red carpet so give me a minute to adjust so I can give you something a little more boring. Â I enjoyed doing this interview because it allows for a more intimate and personal insight on what went into a magical project like this. Â Im glad you all with me as I go through this journey. The did a special Times Square release of the film trailer. Â I was amazed to be a part of this reveal and a part of this film. Im soaking all of this in but it was a special moment.
I was able to get a last minute ticket for this exclusive event called the Governor Awards. Luckily I had a TUX on hand. So we got dolled up. The Governors Awards is an award ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that give out three awards that signify lifetime achievement within the film industry. SO basically oscars for those who might not have received one in their career.  Im a rookie to the part of the game so its good to see and sit amongst the elite.  Some of these folks are so down to earth its amazing.
My before my first show in Sac I was approach by the house photographer Nick Larson about doing some pictures for the Punchline Comedy Club to hang on their wall. These were some of pictures that came out of that session. I was on the elliptical at the time. HAHA

I had a chance to go to this AMAZING laugh of a new initiative called Free the Work which started as Free the Bid, an initiative advocating on behalf of women directors for equal opportunities to bid on commercial jobs in the global advertising industry.  Ive watch this initiative expand to 20 different countries over the past 3 years and involve into its new identity.
