Early 944 Porsche Brake Pad Replacement

Looks like somebody’s been having a little too much fun!!!!!!

Brakes were completely gone.

This is a simple job.

Remove the back pin.

Spray caliper with WD40 and remove two pins. Hammer my be needed.

Spring will pop out so don’t leave your head there.

Pads slide directly out the back. Force will be needed and remember the whole caliber slides back and forth/ up and down.

Grease the new brakes and slide them in…and by slide in I mean wiggle the f#ck out of them.

Bleed the brakes if needed, most of the time it is not needed, but I ad rust and black dirt in mine.

  1. Nice… so these were the rear brake pads. I have another similar weekend coming up myself…save that $$$ and create fulfillment and enjoyment wit DIY. 😉
