We made it back to Japan just in time to go to the Directors Guild Awards show. Last time we attended the awards show it was for commercials which was two years ago. This time we went for features which was cool. Motek did win for First Time Director. I have more short videos from the event on my IG page!
I was able to get a last minute ticket for this exclusive event called the Governor Awards. Luckily I had a TUX on hand. So we got dolled up. The Governors Awards is an award ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that give out three awards that signify lifetime achievement within the film industry. SO basically oscars for those who might not have received one in their career.  Im a rookie to the part of the game so its good to see and sit amongst the elite.  Some of these folks are so down to earth its amazing.
This is a personal story not to many of y’all know about that I wanted to share. People around me growing always wondered why I acted a certain way or I never shared too much about what was going on mentally and emotionally on the inside. Here is a JOURNEY of what some 15yr to 18yr olds dealt with coming up.
I needed a last minute tux for the Directors Guild Awards so I called a fellow comedian who is always dressed well name Buck Ball to guide me through this experience. Â Buck is so great at what he does he eyeballed in photos and by the time I walked into Bonobos in Century City he had already had the color I wanted and the size I needed all the way to the neck size. Â As you can tell from the video below, I tried on the tux one time and if fit as if if it was poured on me.
I went with the Traditional Navy (Original Tuxedo Color) with the bowtie instead of a tie because I wanted a conservative look. Â Check below and if you’re in the Los Angles area and need assistance, message me and I can contact you with BUCK BALL.
I got a chance to “TEST DRIVE” this Calatrava for forty plus minutes when I went to the Patek Store in Beverly Hills.  For those who don’t know Patek is considered an official time piece which means its cost CAKE!!!  This particular time piece has the graphic look of the dial in ebony black and silvery gray is reminiscent of the legendary Ref. 5000 that was launched in 1991 and followed by the Ref. 6000 in 2005.  P.S. I don’t know what any of that sh#t means!!  All I know the Price: 30’620 USD
I was able to peep this time piece the other day. Its a Patek Phillipe from the late 70’s. For those who know about Pateks, you know. And for those who dont you better act like you know what time it is!!!!
